We are looking for a Model-Based Design (MBD) Engineer to join our automotive software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and validating control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink for automotive applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE. You will work across the V-cycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and reliability.

Requirements

Must-have

You must be based in Europe or Egypt
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum experience of 4 years in Model-Based Design (MBD) for automotive applications.
Strong proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
Experience with Auto-Code Generation (TargetLink, Embedded Coder).
Experience with ASPICE process and ISO 26262 safety standard.
Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
AUTOSAR-compliant C code using Embedded Coder and validation against software requirements.
Fluent in English.

Nice to have

Knowledge of powertrain control, hybrid vehicle applications, and motor control algorithms (FOC, PMSM, BLDC) is a plus.
Hands-on experience with HIL systems (dSPACE, Vector tools, CANoe, CANalyzer) is a plus.
Experience in Power Train, Engine Control, Battery Management is a plus.
Experience with AUTOSAR and C/C++ programming languages are a plus.
Knowledge of system engineering is a plus.
