Role Overview

We are seeking a Hardware Verification Engineer to join our team in Sheikh Zayed for a long-term, full-time engagement. You will work in an international environment on IP-based hardware systems, contributing to high-impact projects for global customers.

This role focuses on RTL/IP functional verification, security IP validation, and hardware testing using industry-standard methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities

Perform hardware functional verification at RTL, IP, and system levels
Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM-based verification environments
Design and implement functional testbenches and test cases
Debug and analyze hardware design issues and verification failures
Verify security IP and secure hardware subsystems
Define and track code coverage and functional coverage metrics
Utilize RTL simulation tools and functional simulators
Support hardware testing activities and validation processes
Collaborate with design and architecture teams to ensure high-quality deliverables

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field
4+ years of experience in hardware verification or digital design environments
Strong understanding of digital design and hardware architecture
Proven experience with verification methodologies such as UVM, OVM, or custom frameworks
Strong SystemVerilog proficiency, including writing, debugging, and optimizing testbenches
Knowledge of assertions, constrained random verification, and coverage-driven methodologies
Experience with functional coverage, code coverage, and coverage closure strategies
Experience in RTL/IP verification
Experience with HW/SW co-verification and debugging firmware–hardware interactions
Hands-on experience with industry simulators such as VCS, Questa, or Xcelium
Strong debugging skills using waveforms, logs, and failure analysis techniques
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell) for automation and regression support
Ability to develop automation utilities for regression execution and coverage analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to identify corner cases and ensure thorough verification coverage
Clear documentation and effective collaboration with hardware and software teams
Ability to adapt to new tools, methodologies, and evolving project requirements

Nice to have

Knowledge of security concepts and cryptography is a plus
Familiarity with FPGA prototyping or emulation platforms is a plus
